Reverend Cathy Henderson is a devoted lover of God, a committed
servant of Jesus Christ, and a vessel for the transformative power of the
Holy Spirit. Called for such a time as this, she is dedicated to advancing
God’s Kingdom and bringing freedom to the spiritually captive.
A native of Charlotte, NC, Reverend Henderson began her ministerial
journey in 1999, formally accepting her calling on October 19, 2001. She
was ordained in 2005 in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church.
In March 2014, following the leading of the Holy Spirit, she founded
River of God International (ROGI), an outreach ministry devoted to
equipping the Body of Christ to share the gospel and become carriers of
God’s life-giving flow (John 7:38; Ezekiel 47:9).
Reverend Henderson
currently pastors "Dayspring," an AME Zion Mission (church-plant).
She also serves as an Episcopal Prayer Coordinator, local Director of
Evangelism, and the Director of Leadership Education for the
Connectional Christian Education Department.
Reverend Henderson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a
Master’s degree in Organizational Development with a focus on
Leadership and Conflict Resolution. She brings over 20 years of
leadership experience in behavioral and public health, recognized for her
ability to inspire collaboration and drive meaningful change. As a county
public health manager and an independent organizational development
consultant, she views her professional work as an extension of her
ministry.
A dynamic preacher, speaker, and facilitator, Reverend Henderson is
celebrated for her thought-provoking and energetic delivery in both
Christian and professional settings. She is a fervent worshipper, an
intense intercessor, and a servant leader who radiates joy and genuine
love for others. Whether in the pulpit, the boardroom, or the community,
Reverend Cathy Henderson embraces life fully, seeking to glorify God
and empower those she serves.
